Most general commercial insurance policies exclude aviation exposures, including those for drone operators, manufacturers, dealers or service providers. Drone operators could be exposed to legal action if damage is sustained to property or individuals. It is easy for drone operators to get overwhelmed with all the additional challenges in the regulatory environment and the public’s perception of the dangers associated with their operations.
